Roots of Change, UC Davis Food Systems Lab, UC Davis Institute of the Environment and IC-FOODS in collaboration with Mulvaney’s B&L, meat producers and processors are hosting this half-day Summit to increase the resilience of the meat supply chain. The day will bring together the entire supply chain including procurement officials, potential infrastructure investors and buyers. The Summit will begin with remarks from USDA and California leaders who seek to achieve multiple agricultural, economic, health and environmental goals in a time of growing climate instability. Our specific purpose will be to initiate a supply chain partnership with the University of California, which feeds up to 600,000 people per day during the academic year.
The summit will be followed by a reception and specially prepared dinner to celebrate California’s regional and regenerative meat producers. We hope you will join us for this event!
