The 2011 Symposium on Food Systems & Public Health will compare the food production systems and health impacts of the Sea Food and Agricultural industries – from the bountiful fisheries in the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary and the Southern Gulf Coast, to the fertile fields of Monterey County’s historic Salinas Valley made famous by our celebrated local author, John Steinbeck.
