Chef Brenda Ruiz lives and works in Sacramento where she is raising her son. She is a founder and Chair of the Sacramento Food Policy Council, a leader of Slow Food Sacramento, a co-founder of the California Food Policy Council and ROC's organizer in Sacramento. She supports our advocacy and outreach in the halls of the Capitol. But that's not all. She is also teaching young kids about nutrition and cooking. Brenda is a ROC hero and we salute her and share this profile of her from Comstock's magazine! Brenda is on the far right in the photo below taken on the steps of the California Capitol.
