Diversity, Community, and the Margins of American Society

In conjunction with Golden States of Grace: Prayers of the Disinherited, social documentarian Rick Nahmias presents examples of his work, offering unique images and insights into communities found on the margins. He will speak about the creative journey assembling the works, the common human denominators of food and faith explored in them, as well as what those labeled "the other" have to teach us about ourselves.

Rick Nahmias' photography, text, and multimedia exhibitions have been presented at over four dozen museums, universities, and cultural centers across North America.
