Roots of Change is working together with California’s farmers and ranchers to ensure that every aspect of our food—from the time it’s grown to the time it’s eaten—is healthy, safe, profitable, and fair for those who grow it and for the state where it’s grown.
The individuals highlighted here represent a wide variety of backgrounds and passions. They participate in a range of ROC convenings, from urban rural roundtables to the Stewardship Council, our guiding body. All are integral to success of ROC’s mission.

Environment & Climate
The way California produces food today is outpacing our ability to steward the resources we will need for the future. These farmers are working to ensure that farming and ranching becomes restorative to our resources, wild including plants and animals.
Healthy Food Access
Everyone has the right to benefit from the nutritious bounty of our great state. Roots of Change is looking for farmers who are working on issues related to healthy food access. If you are a farmer helping to bring fresh foods into schools, participating in gleaning programs, providing fresh fruits and vegetables to food banks or promoting healthy food access in any other way please email us at info at rootsofchange.org and tell us a little bit about yourself.
