CalCAN cultivates farmer leadership to face the challenges of climate change and to serve as the sustainable agriculture voice on climate change policy in California.

The Climate Action Reserve is a national offsets program working to ensure integrity, transparency and financial value in the U.S. carbon market. Their projects include improving livestock waste management (biodigesters), forest management and organic waste composting.

The Ecology Center facilitates urban lifestyles consistent with the goals of ecological sustainability, social equity, and economic development. They seek to make these goals accessible by providing people with the information they need, the alternatives they seek, and the infrastructure necessary to make sustainable practices possible on a large scale. They aim to make the visionary mainstream.

The Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) is dedicated to protecting the environmental rights of all people, including future generations. EDF continues their work to improve federal farm policy and agricultural management to reduce greenhouse gas emissions associated with agriculture. 

The Environmental Working Group (EWG) uses the power of public information to protect public health and the environment.  The EWG is currently working to inform federal policy discussions to support goals of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and nitrogen pollution associated with agriculture in the United States.

National Hmong-American Farmers (NHAF) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote economic wellbeing among Hmong-Americans who are small and minority farmers in Fresno County, California.

Pesticide Action Network North America (PAN North America, or PANNA) works to replace the use of hazardous pesticides with ecologically sound and socially just alternatives. As one of five PAN Regional Centers worldwide, we link local and international consumer, labor, health, environment and agriculture groups into an international citizens’ action network. This network challenges the global proliferation of pesticides, defends basic rights to health and environmental quality, and works to ensure the transition to a just and viable society.

Since 1991, Pesticide Watch and Pesticide Watch Education Fund (“Pesticide Watch”) have helped citizen groups across California develop sustainable solutions for dealing with pests, instead of using toxic pesticides. Their mission is to work side-by-side with Californians to prevent pesticide exposure, promote local farming, and build healthier communities.

Physicians for Social Responsibility is the medical and public health voice for policies which prevent nuclear war and proliferation and will slow, stop and reverse global warming and toxic degradation of the environment.

Slow Food is a nonprofit, eco-gastronomic organization that supports a biodiverse sustainable food supply, local producers, heritage foodways, and rediscovery of the pleasures of the table. Slow Food Russian River is one of 150 convivia in the USA to carry out the Slow Food mission at the local level.
